geneX® ds Injectable Bone Graft

Flowable, Structural, Bioactive, Bi-Phasic

geneX® ds is an injectable, fully synthetic bone graft that stimulates rapid bone formation and is fully resorbed in line with natural bone healing.

Optimized Handling

geneX® ds handling characteristics have been optimized to be a flowable paste initially, morph to a putty consistency, and then fully set into a structural graft that resists irrigation and has a compressive strength equal to 3x cancellous bone.

Bioactive

The negatively charged surface chemistry of geneX® ds attracts osteogenic proteins and directs cell response up to 5x normal levels, accelerating bone growth.1

Bi-Phasic

geneX® ds bi-phasic resorption profile allows for optimized porosity and scaffold development that coincides with the natural bone remodeling process.

Attributes of the geneX® ds Injectable Bone Graft:

                  •  Injectable and digitally implantable

                  •  Load sharing capability, setting to 3x cancellous bone

                  •  Resists migration due to irrigation

                  •  Negative surface charge and increased gene expression

                  •  Fully remodels in line with normal bone healing, 9-12 months

geneX® is indicated only for bony voids or defects/gaps that are not intrinsic to the stability of the bony structure. geneX® is indicated to be gently packed into voids or defects of the skeletal system (ie., long bones, extremities, spine and pelvis). geneX® bone graft substitute resultant paste can be injected, digitally packed into the bone void to cure in situ or molded into solid implants that are gently packed into the defect. The bony defects or cavities may be surgically created or the result of traumatic injury.
